What time is it?

Bed time is a crazy time! Most nights, Paige goes completely insane and Ryan feeds into it! Sometimes I just laugh for hours and others I just want to give them both a time out :) I really see his personality in her. 

Happy Valentine's Day

Paige was so excited for Valentine's day! As a homework assignment, they constructed  a Valentine box in order to hold their cards and treats. Paige could not wait to make the box!!! I got out my supplies and we went to work. I am not sure who had more fun, her or I. She was so proud of her work!!!! Who could blame her, look at that sticker job :)

A New Direction

Well, most of you know I went back to school this year to pursue a degree in nursing. It has been quite challenging balancing school and home. I forgot how consuming school is! The first couple of months, I was bombarded with information. Next month I will be in an actual hospital! I am so excited to put the information I have learned to practical use. 

Paige enjoys the medical supplies I bring home, so she can “do surgery on kitty!” She plans to become a veterinarian, because she “does not want to touch people…only animals!” Too funny!

Paige's Holiday Recital

Paige performed to Angel's on High with her ballet class at her recital. They did a great job. Paige even had a small solo performance at the end. She has become quite the performer and has definitely come out of her shell.

Ms. Reed is an amazing teacher. I volunteer in her classroom once a week and I am able to see first-hand how well she works with her students. Paige absolutely adores her!!!

Student of the Month

Paige receiving her Character Counts Pillar of Citizenship award from Dr. Newman. She was invited to attend a breakfast with the principal before school. She was chosen by her teacher for the month of December. We are so proud of her!!!

Yummy Cupcakes

Paige and I decided to make cupcakes for her friends at dance. There was frosting and sprinkles everywhere. She was so excited to share them with her friends and of course eat one.
We had so much fun!!!

Pilgrims & Indians

This week Paige's Kindergarten class learned about the Pilgrims and the Indians. They made hats, read stories, and discussed the struggles between the groups. Adults could learn so much from children's ideas to solving problems!

My Beautiful Cowgirl

I was so excited to have Paige's picture take in her Halloween costume. I love that I am able to spend this time with her. She makes me so proud!!! She picked it out this year and was very excited to finally wear it!!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Bates Nut Farm

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch this past weekend. We have gone every October with Paige for the past few years. We figure we only have a few more years before she objects spending a Sunday afternoon with her parents. We picked out pumpkins, ate lots of candy, and watched Paige run from activity to activity. Too fun!!!

Maui

We had an amazing time on Maui! Paige informed us that she would like to live there, so she could go to the beach every day :) A girl after my own heart!! We managed to find something to do all 13 days we were there. Our vacation flew by.

My Girly Girl

I bought these boots for Paige last year when I was in Mexico. They finally fit her well enough for her to wear outside the house. She would wear them everywhere if I let her! We came to a compromise and she wears them one the way to ballet class. She has a style all her own :)

Paige looked so beautiful for her Kindergarten pictures. She wanted me to make her hair "curly", so I put her hair in sponge curlers the night before. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and my mom would put them in my hair. When I took them out in the morning she said, "I look like a princess!" She was so happy!!!

9 Years & Counting...

In September we had our 9 year wedding anniversary. We decided to go to On The Boarder and have dinner and a few drinks to celebrate. We will officially celebrate when we go to Maui at the end of this month. It gets harder and harder to think of things to do as the years go on :)

Paige's First Soccer Game

Team Mexico!!! They won 3 to 2. They did great. Ryan and I were so excited to watch Paige play. She did not make a goal this game, but she was close. I was amazed at how fast she could run. Maybe track is in her future.
